Healthy Eats in Scottsdale & Phoenix

I recently moved to Scottsdale from LA, and have been having a blast discovering the city through food. Unfortunately, I have zero willpower when it comes to ordering and need to start cutting back on the calories. I'm looking for some recommendations for delicious but healthy restaurants in town.

I've been to True Foods in the Biltmore area, and I think it's pretty good!
I also like Pita Jungle for a quick bite to eat.

Haji Baba in Tempe is a local favorite.

Another Tempe establishment that I highly recommend is House of Tricks.

They have a wonderful selection of healthful fish and vegetables. The outside seating is asthetically pleasing, no rhyme intended, although it's probably too hot to sit anywhere but inside.

Since you are a new Scottsdale resident, I urge you to look outside of that city for good eats. Scottsdale has plenty of wonderful options, but Phoenix, Tempe, even Chandler, also offer a great variety of reputable, healthful food.

You just have to look for it...on Chowhound, of course.

There's Lee's Sandwiches in Chandler. You may be familiar with them already as they have locations in CA as well. Of course, you'd have to stay away from the croissants and pastries. ;)

There used to be a place on Mill in downtown Tempe called In Season Deli. I haven't been there in ages because they're only open for lunch, but it was a vegetarian deli and they had great tamales.

I forgot about another place. It's called Cherry Blossom Noodle Cafe in Phoenix. They serve both Italian and Asian noodle dishes.
