Success in Lake George Area Dining

Thanks to some thoughtful responses to my inquiries, my husband and I had a wonderful weekend in the Lake George area. Top of the World is a beautiful resort with a great golf course and a lovely gourmet restaurant. Unfortunately, the restaurant was booked for wedding-related events so we weren't able to eat there, but others who have say it's wonderful. We ate one night in Glens Falls at Bistro Tallulah, thanks to a tip from Jaylhorner. I highly recommend it. Very hip place with a modern vibe and an eclectic menu that offers two sizes of every entree. I love this! Grist Mill on the Schroon in Warrensburg was a fabulous location for another memorable dinner. Much is closed in this area until after Memorial Day, including Porrecca's and the RainTree, which had been recommended to me. We'll have to go back during the season to give these a try, but there is good food in the Adirondacks, even in the off-season, if you look hard enough.
