Where to get Canfield's Diet Chocolate Fudge

  • b

Apart from Gelson's, can anyone recommend other sources for Canfield's in Northeast LA? (Silverlake, Highland Park, Eagle Rock, etc).

  1. You can order it online. This is how I get it.

At $12 for 12 cans, it's about double the cost at Gelson's Silverlake, and let's face it, Gelson's is not a paragon of thrift. I just paid $5.86 inc. tax and CRV for 10 cans. Also, Gelson's will knock 5% off the purchase of a case (24 cans?), which the manager said would be about $13 before the discount.

Thanks for the heads up anyway. I was just being slothful about the 10 minute drive over there...

    2. If it's a soda, they would undoubtedly have it at Galco's in Highland Park.

Surprisingly, no. Only Jones fudge soda.

Galco's will NOT carry any domestic sodas in a can - only imported. Thus no Canfield's (believe me I've asked more than once).

      2. Oddly enough, I just picked up a six pack of this at the Ralphs chain (in Hacienda Heights) this weekend. It was the only one and I grabbed it, never having tried it before. I'm not sure if its going to be a regular item but i hope so.

My local (Huntington Beach) Ralph's stocks it regularly.

That's the problem - not every Ralph's carries it. The one on San Fernando Rd off the 2 Fwy did (now closed), but the Silverlake store doesn't. Go figure.

If Ralph's has it in its warehouse, as it must if some stores stock it, I think you can ask the manager to carry it for you. The Ralph's in my neighborhood tries to be accomodating that way.

        2. Damn that sounds good! But Is it??? very interesting to say the least...

It pretty much tastes like a chocolate Tootsie Pop. Add a little half and half and it's a no carb egg cream (milk works also).

I'm headed to Ralphs this very moment then.

          2. The Ralphs on Olympic and Barrington has about a million sixpacks of the stuff! I just bought some thanks to you!
They also sell these adorable new mini cans of coke, diet coke and seven up!
