Tilikum Place Cafe (SEA)
A friend/aquaintance (who seems to have slightly odd eating habits but is a dear) recommended this place to me. It's not been open too long, I don't think. Menu looks nice to me. I'm looking for a place for a very belated birthday dinner and thought it might be fun to try.
Anyone tried it yet?
I had a noteworthy breakfast here last weekend. The quiche was the stand-out dish. There were three flavors (one on the menu and two specials). That tipped me off that the chef has a thing for quiche, so I ordered the mushroom with cheese. It was moist, light and fluffy with a flaky crust. It's served with a green salad with a fresh, lemony dressing. And don't miss the excellent French press coffee.
I also loved the atmosphere. It has exposed brick walls, comfortable wood tables and just the right music. It's a huge step up from divy breakfast joints, but not stuffy at all. I highly recommend it, and will definitely return.
Has anyone tried it for lunch or dinner?
