Silicon Valley restaurant w/ private room, good food for 60th bday? (30 people)

Hi,

I posted yesterday, but I think for the group we're looking at, a Silicon Valley location would be best. Looking for a restaurant to host my mom's 60th birthday dinner. She really enjoys good food and a lively "European" atmosphere.

Any recommendations?

    1. I'm sorry, this is the best I can do for you right now. The Places ... Restaurants ... database has that info but the Chow search doesn't work. So this is the best I can come up with using Google.

Looking at the results, some of the places that match your request for Silicon Valley, European, private room that seat 30 ... and that I remember positive comments ...

      Chez TJ
      Alexander's Steakhouse
      Plumed Horse
Manressa (though atmosphere probably not so lively and food-wise too complex)

If you click on the restaurants in the above list it will take you to the place record with info about event facilities and links to restaurant websites for more info.

Some of the others in that list might also work for you, but I couldn't remember if people thought they were good.

Plumed Horse has live music, but if you are in a private room I'm guessing you won't be able to hear it. As far as music, you might explore the option of hiring someone. I did that for a number of my mom's birthdays. You would need to check with the restaurant to see if they could accomodate that. Manressa's private room for 30 does opens to a patio and maybe they would allow someone to play out there.

Donato Enoteca in Redwood City has a gorgeous private room. The food is wonderful.
