She will be arriving from US via South Africa and traveling there. What foods or specialties of Lesotho should she not miss? She hopes to travel a bit to neighboring countries as well. Also, what foods, if any, should we be sending with her that she won't be able to get in Lesotho? I do remember a great chicken meal - but that was because we visited a woman's coop whose members grew, processed, and marketed their chickens. I remember their singing more than the chicken, however. Lesotho is beautiful and has a great climate - mountainous and filled with beautiful horses and riders. But the food??? Sorry!! The food in surrounding South Africa is really good, however. There is not much available in Lesotho. I missed Mexican food the most, I would have killed for some flour tortillas for a burrito, otherwise you can get just about anything in neighboring South Africa.
