Incredible lobster near Hartford- Report
We ate the most incredible lobster at the Stew Leonard's in Newington. They only serve it on Fridays from 4-8 PM and Sat and Sun from 12 noon til 8 PM. It's steamed to order and served with an ear of very fresh sweet corn and a fountain drink- all for $12.99. It was far better and 1/4 the price of the lobster dinner we ate 3 nights before in a fancy place in West Hartford. We were in heaven! Stew Leonards is really a crazy grocery store that some friends told us about. You have to enjoy an ambiance of mechanical cows mooing and chicken singing along with lots of food samples (fresh apple cider donuts, stuffed fillet of sole, etc) but the lobster dinner can't be beat for fresh and perfectly cooked.
