It's not quite Westchester, but World of Taste Seafood in the Bronx has gotten a lot of love on the Outer Boroughs board (e.g., http://chowhound.chow.com/topics/553532 ). I have yet to try it, but it's on my dining agenda. Let us know how you like it if you go. There also is one in Rockland Co. that has been mentioned on this board. Can't recall the name.

re: Reposado
The one in Rockland is Viet Nam Restaurant, Spring Valley: http://thevietnam1.com/index.html. A bit of a nuisance to get to, and not quite worth it, judging from the one lunch I had there.

I LOVE vietnamese (having lived in Hanoi for 4 months). I live in Redding, very close to Pho Vietnam in Danbury. It is pretty good, but I don't get much other than the Pho and summer rolls. To be completely honest, I had a bad experience with a fish dish. We also really like Pho Mekong in Westport (1849 Post Rd. E, Westport, CT 06881; (203) 255-2900). They have some pan-asian dishes, but the pho is really good and I especially like the pancake appetizer (the name escapes me right now). If you just want Pho, I say go to either. But, if you want more than just Pho, I recommend Pho Mekong over Pho Vietnam.

re: jcmods
I'd call and check. They are always closed Sundays and seem very family oriented, so they may be closed Monday as well for family time. I get the standard Pho w/flank slices and order the extra tendon balls. Last time i was there they were out of basil. To me, this is like a red sauce Italian place being out of Parmesan, it should never happen.
