[DFW] Blue Collar Bar
I just wanted to put in a good word for this place.
It takes up the space on the corner of Henderson and McMillan. Across the street from one side by Barcadia (and their gigantic jenga games) and the other side is Slip Inn. I think a couple of places have been in this space, but nothing seems to stick.
Anyway, this place is essentially a bar. The name states that pretty up front. There are a couple of tables inside and a nice patio, but that's about it.
But, the food was darn good. A real mix of southern comfort food served in what looks like lunch trays. We got the fried gouda cheese balls. They came hot and melted and with a side of ranch. Yum!
We then shared the chicken fried chicken with sides of four cheese mac and loaded whipped potatoes. I was debating getting a side salad or fried okra, something green, but I thought "nah". We cleaned our plates. Honestly, the chicken was a little greasy, but the gravy had a nice little spice to it.
Honestly, pleasantly surprised by a good meal in this bar. We mostly went because they have cheap cans of PBR. So glad we looked at the menu.
