Where do I get good chocolate bars in France?

We are in Cote d'Azur for one more month, and I really wanted to find a place we could get good chocolate bars - e.g. Cluizel, Pralus, etc. Any recommendations welcome. Everyone I have asked here just says the supermarche, but they just have Lindt etc. Looking for more high end chocolate. So what kind of shops do I look for to find the better chocolate?

Would it be better to look for a local Chocolatier rather than hunting for branded products. Most will make their own sold bars, hopefully you will be in reach of a main town with a couple of options so that you can taste test and decide which ones you like best. IIRC the supermarkets will really only stock the main multi-national brands like Lindt and Valhrona.

Valrhona can't be found anywhere, but it's really excellent. As many chocolatiers use this brand, I'm not sure there's any added value in buying chocolate bars from them.

Go to the grocery/all purpose food stores and try a few. We just got home with about 10#s of our favorites.
