Trying to find a Japanese restaurant in Denver

My husband and I lived out in Denver YEARS ago...late 70's and there was this little drive thru restaurant that we would go to that served a meal in a bowl with these awesome ginger pickles. I think it was just called a beef bowl back then. It had rice w/ a beef/veggie combination served over top. I just LOVED it. I was trying to tell my daughter about those pickles...and I can't remember the name of the place or where it was. I just remember we paid something like a whopping $1.50 for a very satisfying meal and you just went thru the drive thru to pick it up. Anybody know what place I am talking about? and is it still there? (I think I would actually travel back out there for that fond memory)...My husband and I were young, only married about three years, and we had just moved away from Ohio...and it was all this big grand adventure for us moving out west.

You must be thinking of Kokoro, which, I believe is patterned after the Japanese chain Yoshinoya.
