Jackson Heights - Weekday Lunch Run
I noticed that many Jackson Heights recommendations are for places that are only open weekends or at night. I realized I am close enough to the right subway to get out there and back during lunch hour on the weekdays.
So, what are your recommendations for places that are close to the E train, not 7 train, stop (I don't mind a 10-15 minute round-trip walk), open for lunch on the weekdays, that are relatively quick?
For restaurant choices, as long as they have a phone I can call in the order ahead, so time is not as much of an issue. Also, although I am willing to wolf a street cart meal in 10 minutes, would also appreciate suggestions for food that is somewhat portable, so I can eat it back at the office.
Am most starved for Philippine and Central American choices near me, but would take Indian/Pakistani/Bengali suggestions as well.
Will report back on how the logistics work out.

I'd say most recommendations for places in JH are places which are open all day, even early for breakfast or 24-hours. try kahari & grill (former roti boti) for delicious indian food (or the tons of other indian places around); taquerias abound (not too current, I just stick w/ my coatzingo; get a milanesa torta and by the time you get back to the office, that sucker will be ready to make all your coworkers jealous). and of course, a short walk to woodside's little manila where renee's, ihawan's or krystal's should satisfy most desires for a quick lunch.
