How is Boucherie?

Any thoughts on this restaurant? Seems like it may be a little off the beaten path foodie heaven...or at least that's what I'm hoping for.

    Miss this spot at your own risk; the food is a genuine treat, the prices are beyond reasonable, the desserts are MUST haves. We've gone alone and w/ out-of-town guests and there've never been anything but pleased palates and rave reviews. (Does my enthusiasm leak through?)

      I'm in the minority that was not impressed enough to return. IMO, it's a lot of creatively plated, mediocre bbq priced reasonably enough to boost it's popularity. That being said, I went soon after it opened. Perhaps things have changed.

        Yeah, i was least impressed with the ribs. Most of the other small plates have been great though. If they've got a terrine, get it.

      It's great- went two weeks ago- your def. need reservations!!!!! It is a small, cozy venue. I called at 6:30 on a Thursday and the got reservations for 3 at 9:30.... you MUST try the Krispy Kreme Donut Bread Pudding-hell try all of the desserts- we did that night and it was great!

      the waitstaff is super chill but efficient and will give you great feedback on different dishes- I love that place it's affordable- chill vibe and great food

        That Krispy Kreme bread pudding...so good!!!
        I've been a few times, and I'm always ready to go back!

        Worth your time & money, by far.

        I'd say the small plates are better than the entrees. Definitely worth a visit.

          Exactly true! Not sure if it is exactly off the beaten path, but I prefer it over Cochon, if that helps. (Cochon good, but pretty standard IMHO)

          Do a search on the New Orleans board, it has been talked about quite often.
