HOOPS Sports Bar

I went to the Hoops near the Air Canada Center . This seems like the real thing as far as Sports Bars go ... not just another Ripp Off wing bar like the other chains popping up all over. They have hundreds of tv's and the place looks and feels authentic The food was great . We had great salads , salmon , a excellent hamburger and we did have wings which were very good . I think are a couple more stores And i look forward to trying them out . Anyone been to Hoops and what do you think ?

Uh, I was dragged there once when i used to go to York and had the WORST simple pasta dish I have ever had in my life.. The pasta was MUSHY overcooked, the sausage was rubber, and the sauce had just been sparsly poured on top. There wasn't enough to cover all the pasta so I was eating dry mushy pasta sans sauce. I would never go back for more then a drink.

in fairness, it's a sports bar -- definately not the place to be ordering pasta.

I've been to the one on Yonge Street a bit north of College on the west side a few times. It's more due to convenience than anything else. Never had anything really great or really horrible there. Basic bar junk food. Yes there are many many tv's. I've seen some cringe-worthy karaoke there as well.

I'm a vegetarian so I can only vouch for the fries/nachos/salad.

Isn't there one near York U? There's one just outside of it, near the Tim Horton's.. on Keele. Would that be the same?

where is it exactly? we're always looking for a sports bar with decent food that shows basketball games.
