We went there once, and disovered a hot, sweaty room full of "beautiful people" loudly gushng to each other. We left, and didn't go back.

Yeah tell me about it. Once I went on a date and the couple beside me started making out - the girl got up from her seat, sat on her date's lap and they went at it.

Well that would make me lose my appetite! Get a room people! My one and only experience there we waited almost an hour for our table (despite reservations and seeing other well-known individuals waltz to their tables) and it took 4+ hours to complete our meal because the kitchen was so slow. Which would have been fine if everyone was served at the same time and there weren't huge gaps between courses. I have never been back and don't feel like I have missed out by not doing so.

we like to eat out with our daughters (not toddlers) who are very well behaved and actually enjoy fine dining a lot. But we did not feel very welcome there. Very rushed and was seated at not the best table in the room as well and therefore have not gone back since.

ok, sounds like I made a wise decision thanks to Googs. For the record I love spaghetti carbonara, but to sit there alone and be subjected to a lap dancing show... would put me off my pancetta! Thanks for all the replys, Squeakycheese

I think lunch might be a bit more successful in terms of avoiding lapdances?

I've only eaten there once; didn't have the spaghetti carbonara. The food and service were okay, just okay.

I wouldn't even recommend Snotto Snotto to people I hate.

Thanks Googs, didn't bother on your advice, instead had a nice omelette at Jacque's Bistro.

Good choice in Jacques. Wicked place. I'd rather have that over heavy carbonara for lunch anyways.

I don't know, I know most people care not for SS around here. But both times I've been it was damn good.

Glad you found joy at any rate:)

I’ve never had the carbonara, but the two times I’ve been to that location I’ve had just excellent food. Other CH posters tend to say the place is overpriced and overrated, but the two times I’ve gone at least it’s been fantastic. Never had the carbonara though.

The best carbonara I’ve had in Toronto was at Quattro Ragazze on Danforth, which is not really the same area as SS. But if you want great carbonara, I recommend that.
