Design students visiting Pratt from Germany

My cousin is bringing her students to NYC to participate in an exhibit at Pratt. She'd love some advice on where to eat while they're there. One special night out would be great, but it would be good to know of a few spots nearby where they could grab a bite.

If they're looking for restaurants near Pratt, you should go to the Outer Boroughs board and search Ft. Greene and Clinton Hill. (Pratt is in Clinton Hill, which is adjacent to Ft Greene--which is quite restaurant-heavy.) There are more than a few fun, funky and worthwhile restaurants there.

There's also one in Chelsea, right?

I had no idea. From Pratt's website:

"Take crosstown buses or the L train to travel east or west on 14th Street. Pratt is located between Sixth and Seventh Avenues on the south side of the block, closest to Seventh Avenue."

South side of 14th St. would be the Village, though Chelsea starts on the north side.

But where is your cousin bringing her students?

As far as I know, they'll be in Manhattan. I did see that it's right on the border there. I mentioned checking out the Chelsea Market to her, though I've never been myself.
