Graduation Dinner: Monmouth County area

  • 5

Well my son is graduating high school in a month or so, and I'd like to get our family (15-ish people) together for a special graduation dinner. We live in Marlboro, and I know some places around the area, but I'd really like to have this dinner somewhere "above and beyond". Thanks for the help!

  1. how about salt creek grille in rumson? www.saltcreekgrille.com while not a "foodie" destination, scg offers a wide variety of delicious food, so there will be something for everyone. in addition to the regular menu, i believe they offer catering and party packages.

    1. Congrats on your son's graduation!

It would be helpful to have some additional specifics. Which restaurants have you been to? What cuisine(s) would you prefer or want to avoid for this occasion? Do you want casual or fancy? A private room? How far are you willing to travel? What is your per person budget for food only (drinks, tax & tip additional).

        Thank you!

I think we're pretty open to cuisine types, but it'd be nice to find something different than the standard Italian. I'd like a place that's more fancy than casual, and travel really isn't an issue, since our family is spread out around the area. For a budget, I'd say somewhere in the wide range of $20-35.

I would suggest Belford Bistro. Although for the most part, the a la carte menu won't fit your budget, they offer a 3-course prix-fixe for $24.95.

      2. Our "celebration" place is Trinity in Keyport. It features outstanding food, a cool private "chamber," and a not too stuffy vibe. Here's a few thoughts about it:
