So I am having a group of 10 people to go out to dinner by the Kimmel Center in Center City. Ages range from 2-80 and one will absolutely not eat any mexican or idian. I am looking for a good place to eat that has a nice variety and will not empty my bank account. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Estia is a block away and they have a wonderful pre-theatre pre-fixe dinner, and can deifnitely accomodate a larger group.

You might try Bellini Grill on 16th between Walnut and Locust: http://www.bellinigrill.com/

I've attended a few dinners for big parties there in the past and enjoyed them. It's also BYOB. It's not super inspired, but it's straight forward Italian and works well for groups.

La Viola is nice, located on 16th Street between Locust and Spruce. Not exactly variety because it's all italian, but it is tasty and very affordable. Alsoit is byob. I would definitely make a reservation for a group of 10.

Also have been wanting to try Kanella, 10th and Spruce, greek byob. It is often mentioned on this board as being delicious. Might be more adventurous than La Viola, also probably slightly more expensive.

Kanella is fantastic but a group of 10 is kind of big for the space they have. You could call them to check.

La Viola is a good choice too. If you want to spend a little more than at La Viola for better food, Mercato is also close to the Kimmel and is also an Italian BYO. It's kind of small and noisy, though it depends on when you're going.
