I had to work on Mother's Day so I need to make it up to Mom. Looking for someplace very nice to take her on Sunday for Breakfast, Brunch or Lunch. She does enjoy a good buffet, but regular menu is fine too. Anywhere convenient to Laguna Woods will work. Price is not an issue.

If you like Mexican and want to sample a great buffet brunch then give El Adobe a try in the heart of San Juan Capistrano 3 minutes off the freeway at Ortega Hwy.

I put in a strong vote for Break of Dawn. They're only open for breakfast and lunch. It's run by a classically trained, young Vietnamese-American chef that was an executive sous chef at the Ritz Carlton. Creative, sophisticated menu has items familiar to American palates with influences from France and Vietnam.

Huge second for Break of Dawn here. I've never been myself, but my wife and all her friends have been several times and were very much impressed. It's in the center with Trader Joe's and El Torito, just South of Laguna Hills Mall, so it couldn't be much closer to your Mom.
