Any thoughts on places for a quick lunch fix? Thanks!

Plenty of quick lunch fixes in those towns, but a real dearth of anything Vietnamese...

And also plenty of good sandwiches, but sometimes I'm looking for something other than Dominic's... I was good and searched the board first, and was surprised to not find anything that fit the bill...

There's Bobalicious in Nonantum (308 Watertown Street, Newton.) I've been there once and Barmy's been a couple of times - they are quite decent and super-nice folks.

i second Bobalicious.... great sandwiches, clean nice establishment. Yummy bubble teas, too! A extra points for a cheerful website!

third thumbs up on Bobalicious. Very good banh mi though they call them Vietnamese sandwiches, probably because they don't expect most of their customers to know what a banh mi is. No matter what, they're fresh and good. And yes, the people are very friendly.

Just know that it's a cash only place (Bank of America ATM directly across the street though)

And when you are visiting Bobalicious, you really close to DePasquale's sausages and Antoine's (Italian) Pastries, if you want to pick up some good eats for later.

Really excited to try this. I think it's close to my work - right by Elephant Walk, Pickle, etc. Ten minutes or less by car?

Perhaps a bit of a longer drive, and there's much construction on Pleasant St. in Watertown near Russo's, which may hold you up. But overall, not very far away.

I always go to all three when I've made the effort to park. It's like a triumvirate of happy food experiences.

                Fourth the suggestion of Bobalicious!

I fifth it! In fact, they are the best Banh-Mi I've had in Boston. They also make nice bubble tea. =) And Antionne's Pastry Shop across the street is a lot of fun --- especially their almond paste macaroons (with a cherry on top, no less.)

Thanks for all the suggestions (including the five for Bobalicious) -- gives me something to look forward to tomorrow!

Excited about this Bobalicious place! Been a long time since I had a Banh-mi. Next time I am in Newton I know where I am stopping for a snack!
