i'm planning a one day visit to do some wine tasting and the wife wants to visit Molbaks. What are your recommendations for wineries to visit and restaurants to try?

Up the hill from the warehouse district is Efeste - just named best new winery and winemaker to watch by Seattle magazine. I think their Syrah just got 93 points. The owners and winemaker are frequently there and very willing to talk wine. Its also fun to go up to Northwest Totem. They do tastings in their kitchen and Mike is full of information (and is making some nice wine). Definitely a must if you like dessert wines.

May I suggest Novelty Hill Winery. Good wine, incredible facilities. Won an AIA award for design (interior) and also has great landscape architecture.

There's an industrial warehouse park that has over a dozen tasting rooms, I like to head there and walk around and taste who ever is open. Some favorites are Alexandria Nicole, Guardian, Page, Patterson Cellars and Red Sky. Here's a link to a map of the area: http://www.woodinvillewinecountry.com...
