A client recommended this place to me. Has anyone been?

I realize this is an old thread, but I just had to say that I remember Bismillah as having REALLY good food. I love their daal and naan. My mom makes fun of me because that's like saying you like their bread and butter or something else really basic, but sometimes you can really tell quality by the basics. I haven't been in a while, but if their quality hasn't slipped I definitely recommend this place.

And I'll jump in on this very old thread to add that I've beem addicted to the beef nihari from this joint for several years. Dipping that fantastic naan into the spicy, tender beefy stew is just heaven.

Very good Pakistani food, with a largely (or all) Pakistani clientele when we've been there (which hasn't been since last summer, since we don't live as close by anymore). Not much atmosphere, and be prepared to wait a long time for your food, but worth it in our opinion. We thought it was better for Pakistani than Shahnawaz in Lakewood, which gets a nod in Jonathan Gold's book (though Shahnawaz is also good, and maybe a little friendlier).

Wow, did my eyes pop open when I saw Buena Park in a header! I live there!

Never heard of it but maybe I can check it out for you. What sort of food? Middle Eastern?

Oh, Pakistani! I found this on Smartpages.com. Sounds like a trip would be worthwhile. The Lamb Karahi sounds like a must-try!
