Old Town Creamery-Plano
I must have driven past this place 500 times and never stopped in. I'd always thought it was some knockoff of the Cold Stone or Marble Slab type places. I was very wrong.
What a good ice cream shop. Everything made in house, about 30 different flavors (including some I'd never seen before) , fresh made waffle cones, and the owner was the one helping us, and he couldn't have been nicer.
we had a raspberry sorbet which was fantastic. I'd return just to get that again. The right amount of sweet and tart.
A blueberry ice cream that was fresh, and loaded with blueberry goodness.
plus they had some flavors I sampled, that I'd not seen before in Dallas.... Lychee, fig, almond date, and one called falooda, which the owner said was popular in India. It had basil seeds, rose water, and a couple other flavors in it that knocked my socks off.
Prices were fairly reasonable as well.....$1.99 for a cup.
