Eglinton vs Eglington Avenue

It has taken me five years to realise that this major East West artery does not have a second 'G' in it. I only discovered this when searching for a thread which I KNEW had the word Eglington in it. It didn't.

A quick search of these boards which show I am not the only one with this misapprehension. I only mention this so that others may be helped in the future.

I was also trying to find the name of an Indian Grocery Store on Birchmount 400 meters North of Eglinton on the West side. Anyone know what it is called? I want to ask if they stock something.

Eglinton is probably the most misspelled word on this board, though "Caesar", as in "Caesar salad", is a close second. My experience is that any resto that misspells "Caesar" on its menu (as many do), will probably make a lousy Caesar salad.

And I suspect it is the most mispronounced also.
