haven't been to the reinvented palomino's, i've heard they downsized the menu and prices, has anybody checked it out?

I was there about a week ago with a group of people. We sat at the bar and had drinks and appetizers for about 3 hours. At least the bartenders provided great service and the food was great.

Went there Fri night. Noticeably older crowd - 65+. Calamari was awful, tasteless. Shrimp special appetizer was OK but nothing great. Waiter tried several times to convince us to order up or additional things. The 2 of us had 1 bottle of wine, 2 apps, 2 entrees. He kept pushing the salad and dessert and the fish entrees over the pasta. Really annoying. Really diappointing experience.

Big disappointment. The food was fine, prices about 30% less than they used to be, but service was intolerable. Table not completely set, no spoons brought with soup, very good at getting alcohol refils but nothing else, forgot a side dish`and brought two of same out once we finished eating. Manager preoccupied w/decanting wine, paid no attention to anything else. Never going back until it has a new owner.
