Good eats for my b-day in Queens/Nassau?

My birthday is this weekend and hubby wants me to pick a place. Don't want Greek or Asian or anything particularly stuffy. I just want some good food and a good cocktail. Some of my faves are Honu Kitchen, Novita, West End Cafe. So, I guess something along those lines... I was thinking of maybe Prime in Huntington? Any other suggestions?

In Queens, Saporia d'Ischia. Wonderful Italian. And some evenings, there's music too. It's an Italian food importer by day, turned restaurant by night. Amazing pasta served in a wagon wheel of cheese with truffle oil. I'd make a meal just out of the pasta and the antipasti.

Brass Rail was just written up this past Sunday in the Times. Great review. Has been open since, I think, November or December.

what about Broadway Beanery in Lynbrook? theres a good NY times review somewhere if you search for it... Its nice, it doesnt look particularly "fancy", but the food is fantastic. Happy Birthday!
