Masti Grill East Windsor NJ

Realize this place has been around awhile, only one brief mention in a post from many years ago. Curious if anyone has been here lately and specifically if anyone has tried the Indo Chinese Menu they offer. Thank you.

I have not tried the Indo Chinese offerings, but all of their dishes are creative beyond the standard Indian fare. I recommend their fish dishes - salmon tikka masala, or spicy fish moilee - I have not had anything like them anywhere else. I also recommend the Sali Boti, a lamb dish with plum sauce. My one peeve is that the spiciness of the same dish can vary wildly from visit to visit - sometimes they ask, sometimes they don't.

Shabby, I've been to Masti a bunch of times. Have always found the food to be good, ample quantity and good service.

I have been there several times when I used to work close by. I loved the food - clearly beyond the standard fare. Highly recommended. They used to have alunch buffet which is what I used to go for normally - although not as many dishes as other places, very fresh, very authentic and subtly spiced. They also have regional Indian dishes which are also very well done. I recommend it.

Hi Shabby, our crew at work have not been to Masti. In that general area, when we need our fix of Indian food, we usually go to Crown of India in Plainsboro, Chutney Mary on Rt 1 South in South Brunswick and a new place on Georges Road in Dayton next to Pierre's which i forgot the name of :)

The place next to Pierre's Rosoi II and yet another place in Dayton next to the Dayton Park Pharmacy.

Hi Shabby, our company had a catered affair at Rosoi for about 35 people and comments were favorable ( I could not make it).
Beware that their hours are strange. Last time I went their hours were Friday-Sunday only. Not sur if that has changed.
I believe they make their money from catered affairs, weddings etc. The site is the former Liberty restaurant which had a large catering hall.

Thanks for the tip on Tandoor Flame, will give it a try soon.

Tom, have you any further information on Rasoi? Rasoi II, which is one of my favorite Indian restaurants, is in Iselin. This place in South Brunswick is called Rasoi III and seems to be strictly a banquet facility (at least that's the impression I got from their web site).

Ambrose, I was there once for lunch and we thought the items on the buffet were very well prepared and there was a nice variety.
That was about 3 months ago. At the time their hours were very limited. I think just Friday-Sunday but that may have changed. They do have a huge banquet room for weddings etc.

Coincidence that you asked about an Indian restaurant as our department is going to Chutney Mary on Rt 1 in Monmouth Junction for lunch tomorrow. Has been very good in the past but have not been for about a year. Will report tomorrow evening.

I think they are related to Rasoi of Newark Ave in Jersey City which I happen to like a lot compared to most others i've tried.
Hope to try Delhi Garden in Highland Park this w/e as it gets very good reviews on here. How was Chutneymary tom246?
