Fresh P&J oysters wrapped in bacon then flash fried served with Creole beurre blanc
Barbecue Shrimp -
Jumbo shrimp sautéed with garlic and Abita beer, served with a Creole crouton in a traditional New Orleans barbecue sauce
Seared Crab Cake -
Jumbo lump Louisiana crabmeat folded with roasted garlic and lemon aioli, set on a green tomato relish and a salsa verde
Tomato-Bleu Cheese Napoleon -
Thick tomato slices layered with Danish bleu cheese, shaved red onion, and garlic aïoli croutons, topped with our housemade remoulade sauce
(for the above, you could ask for some lump crabmeat or boiled shrimp w/this salad)
Creamed Spinich -
Fresh spinach in a creamy béchamel
(perhaps they could add some oysters to this side dish)
I'm not a fan of their soups.
They have several seafood appetizers with my favorites being the fried oysters in tabasco cream sauce and the escargot in a garlic butter sauce served with french bread. I believe they have a gulf fish on the menu for an entree, but to be honest I have only had the steak with the seafood appetizers, so I cannot give you an accurate description of its flavor. If you need any seafood recs I am happy to provide those as well. You could always do a salad with a seafood app if there is nothing else to your liking on the steak filled menu. Dickie Brennan's Bourbon House is mostly seafood and may be a good compromise for you. It faces Bourbon Street and is great for people watching.
