Grass-fed organic meats in westside l.a. restaurants? Any?

  1. None that I know of, at least not advertised as such.

The Santa Monica Farmer's Market has a grass-fed beef guy and the Hollywood Farmer's Market has a grass-fed bison guy. Both have a good product but I prefer the bison.

As a general rule, any farm raised game or imported lamb will be grass fed, including the imported lamb from Trader joes. Any use of organic generally means the same. Niman Ranch beef meats my personal standards for taste and eco-health, although it does get a small corn finish.

I see this thread has come up again and I thought I should revise my earlier posts.

American lamb, in season, is grass fed. Lamb raised out of season is only partially grass finished because it isn't available. Lamb feedlots exsist now. Imported lamb from NZ or Australia is still generall all grass fed.

Organic beef does not mean it is grass fed. It means that the feed is certified organic and unless stated otherwise, it will be organic corn.

    2. I recently ate a grass fed t-bone steak at blue plate on Montana. Other than that I don't know of anything. I'm on the search for the same thing. On a similar note, restaurants that serve Niman Ranch pork.

      1. I also just found this:

A new restaurant in West Hollywood.

        1. If West Hollywood is close enough for Government work then:
