Orlando, not the theme parks, with baby in tow

I am looking for non-chain, baby friendly eateries in Orlando. Any suggestions? We are not planning on visiting any of the theme parks on this trip. We will probably be eating dinner relatively early, between 5:30 and 7. Price isn't that important, but I always love a good meal for a good price.

Would also be interested in good places for lunch especially location near Leu Gardens.

  1. I'm not really sure what qualifies as baby friendly. Quiet? Not too crowded? Clowns and stuff? Well appointed changing rooms?

There are tons of great places to eat around Leu Gardens, none really in walking distance. White Wolf, Greek Corner, and other places along Orange Ave near Lake Ivanhoe seem to be casual enough to not be put off by a baby. The Vietnamese places along MIlls and Colonial (I refuse to call this area ViMi, that's just silly) are all awesome. Tony's Deli on Mills, just south of Virginia, would be another great spot for a casual dinner. They've got killer Lebanese/ Middle Eastern food.

Alternatively, you can head to Winter Park's Park Ave. for a lot of good food. Its a little more upscale, so I don't know how baby friendly they would be.

    1. Thanks JayDubya, your suggestions sound great! White Wolf was on my list to try, so I am glad you think it might work.

By baby friendly, I mean not put off by a baby- does not need a child's ambiance. For instance, I have heard great things about The ravenous Pig, but based on what I saw on their website, not sure if it's too upscale to take a baby and put off other diners. On the other hand, we don't want to eat at chains like Friday's or Applebee's just because we have a small child with us.

TRP would be ok for a baby. They have some booths in the bar area (which is separate from the other dining areas), that would be ideal for all but the most annoying babies....
