Cookstown area

My partner and I live in Toronto. We will be visiting his relatives in the Collingwood area next weekend and, as usual, will be dropping in at the Cookstown outlet mall around noon on Sunday to scope for deals. The foodcourt in the mall is sketchy and we usually end up eating at the Harvey's in the parking lot there. I was wondering if anyone could suggest alternatives in that area, even a exit or two earlier. Nothing fancy, just not the Harvey's or McDonald's at that intersection (Hwy 400 & 89).

Stayner is between Cookstown and Collingwood, closer to Collingwood. I went to a place there called Fud that was pretty good. Nice organic beef, and they try to do local ingredientds as much as they can.

Thanks. We do drive through Stayner on the way home, but Stayner's still about an hour north of Cookstown. Barrie's on the way, but it's still a ways away as well. I was looking for something a bit closer that I could link into the outlet small visit - maybe even in Cookstown itself.
