Birthday dinner in Greenville, SC

My mom will be celebrating a big birthday this summer and we're looking for a place that not only serves delicious (not too too precious) food, but which is also "gemütlich" (cozy). There will be about twelve of us. I'd love to test-drive a few places and would welcome any suggestions.

Addy's is a cozy little Dutch bar/restaurant downtown, and they have an upstairs area for private functions. Good food too.

Thanks, ya'll. I'll try those out. Any one else have any good ideas?

I am a fan of Davani's on Augusta Rd for this type of event. Rocky the owner is a great guy and will make sure you are taken care of. They also have a private wine room that could be used. The fine dining meetup gave this place very high marks. I think the prices are very good.

There is a cute, cozy spot - although it's large - with good, homey food, a decor that reminds one of a Southern grandma's sunny living room, and delicious desserts: Brick Street Cafe on Augusta St. I often see large gatherings - call ahead.

When I read your question, Brick Street was exactly what I thought of. I've been there for birthdays, graduations, and just regular get-togethers. Sounds like the perfect spot for what you have in mind.
