How long do morels last?

I'm sorry, I feel like there must be a really obvious to find answer, but after searching I couldn't find anything. What's the shelf-life of morel mushrooms? I'm unable to cook them for a little bit so I just have them sitting in a paper bag in the fridge, I'm not sure if that is the best way to store them... Can I freeze them and use them just like I would regularly use fresh ones?

  1. You want to keep them dry in the paper bag if you can get to them pretty quickly. I'd eat them no later than the day after purchase. Otherwise, the next best thing would probably be to dehydrate them. Barring that, maybe saute them and just tuck them in some tupperware for a day or two later?
