Perkasie Pizza & Pasta (AKA IL Colosseo)

This is the best Italian I've ever had. John the owner always puts out excellent food. The menu is varied and the prices are very reasonable. The service is personable and quick. I've never heard any complaints. This is one of the jewels of Perkasie. Oh, the garlic knots are to die for.

    I disagree strongly.

I like Perkasie Pizza. I had the best veal Capri there today. It was in this rich bed of angel hair pasta. The sauce was a velvety garlic almost rose. I think for the price its hard to beat. The servers and environment where excellent. The portions were so generous that I was the only one who could finish. I've tried two of the desserts now. The bread pudding is the best I've had, and the tiramisu made my knees buckle.

I'm glad you are having a good time there. I have not. I've been there three times, and to us it tasted like the usual pseudo-Italian gummy, salty, overly-garlicked (and I LOVE garlic), amateurish, run-of-the-mill, average stuff that leaves you feeling yucky. La Campagna, on the other hand, is on a much higher plane. I bear Il Colloseo no ill will, I just don't like the food there.
