Can I buy grain alcohol (aka Everclear) in B.C.?

I made some home-made limoncello from a bottle of the really strong stuff that someone brought me from Mexico. It worked much better than vodka for really extracting the flavor and color from the fruit (even though I had to water down the finished product a bit to make it drinkable!) I'd love to try again with some different fruits, but the states of Washington and Oregon don't trust us with anything that potent. Does anyone know if you can buy it at B.C. liquor stores?

you can pre-order this in WA state liquor stores, if you say you are pickling herring with it.

Not alltogether a falsehood...you certainly will be "pickling" something......

No, not at the goverment stores. You may be able to find some at a large private store, though, but I doubt it.

peter.v is right. You can purchase it in Alberta almost anywhere.

For more information here are the agent contacts:
Everclear: Highwood Distillers. 604-467-3491 CSPC (Product Code Alberta): 711369
Spirytus (Polish Everclear): United Distributors. 604-420-4808 CSPC (Product Code): 638700

As far as I know, you can't get it in BC. Alberta stores carry it though, along with some Polish rectified spirits too.

You can get grain alcohol in BC, its just that you'll need to fill out a form and, order it by the case.
