Yummy lunch in Bartimore

  • 3

My boyfriend is driving me to the Hopkins hospital for an appointment in the morning, so I thought I'd take him to lunch before we drive home.

I'm thinking something bad for you, like bar food would be great. That or Italian.

And we're not too familiar with Baltimore so something sort of hear the hospital would be awesome.

Thanks!

  1. drive south on Broadway and it will take you to fells point. many choices there to eat and it is a funky neat area on the water akin to the village in NY but on the water. eat mussels at Bertha's, medeteranean at black olive, pizza Brick Oven Pizza or just walk around and decide where you want to eat. afterward head west to little italy and sample great gelato and italian pastries at Vacarro's

    1. Duda's, no question. You can sit outside if it's nice, they have a nice variety including a very respectable crabcake and extremely bad for you but delicious chili cheese fries (my favorite). Plus the people who run it are great.

It's my favorite place for lunch in Fells Point.

      1. Isabella's makes the best italian sandwich I've ever had. The owner is so stinkin nice too! He makes you feel like family and manages to not come off as fake.
I've tried the Scooch (Capicollo, Soppressata and Porchetta with Gouda Cheese, Roasted Peppers and Lettuce in a Balsamic Dressing) and the Isabella (Proscuitto Di Parma, Soppressata, Capicollo, with Asiago Cheese, Homemade Olive Spread and Olive Oil, heated). You can check out their menu online. Oh, and pay the extra $2 bucks or so and get the large. You can always eat the other half later.
