Mother's Day Brunch near Benton Harbor, MI

Looking for someplace that does a traditional Mother's Day Brunch near Benton Harbor or St. Joseph, MI...can't go much farther north than that..we're meeting family from Chicago, so we're looking for a good halfway point.

I don't know from St.Joe/BH .Further west (south) Skip's ,Four Winds Casino and Whitaker Woods Golf Club are having traditonal M- day brunch.We are going to Skip's.

We went to The Pump House Grille in downtown St. Joseph. It was really good. Wouldn't mind going back and checking out their regular menu.

I don't know of anything in Benton Harbor/St. Joe itself - maybe someone else does - but I can make some suggestions on both sides of it.

If you don't mind meeting about 25 miles closer to Chicago along that route (I-94), the Marina Grand Resort is in New Buffalo. The chef in its restaurant, Jenny Drilon, used to own Jenny's, which was a wonderful restaurant in the area. They do an a la carte Mother's Day brunch and the menu sounds like Jenny's usual magic; you can see the menu by going to their website at www.marinagrandresort.com/bentwood and clicking on "mother’s day brunch menu".

Here are two more suggestions if you want to meet a bit closer to you than Benton Harbor.

If you're coming on I-94 westbound, Bravo! in Kalamazoo does a very nice buffet brunch every Sunday, so I would think their Mother's Day buffet ought to be at least as nice. www.bravokalamazoo.com

If you're coming on I-196 southwest from Grand Rapids, Tello's in South Haven is doing a special menu for Mother's Day but it's more of a dinner menu and they don't open till 1 pm. You can view the specials on their website at www.tellobistro.com
