Parents Dinner - 8 People - Private Room
My husband (!) and I eloped a couple of weeks ago and are now planning a dinner for all of our parents to meet. There may be a little intrigue as my mom/dad haven't seen each other for 22 years and my husband's mom/dad haven't seen each other for 15 years - since his dad left his mom for his mistress - who will also be at the dinner. So looking for a place that doesn't have many knives in easy reach (ha!), not in a basement or too stuffy b/c it'll be in June, and classy but not oh-my-goodness expensive. Congratulations on your marriage! Considering the "interesting" assemblage of parents, et al, I can surmise why you decided to elope. lol
While it would be helpful to know your cuisine preferences, and if there are any budgetary constraints, here's my suggestion.
Picholine's small, private Wine Room has a table that seats just 8. I've looked into the room. It is elegant and, as the website states, "...the perfect setting for...an intimate celebration." The Mediterranean-inspired French cuisine is delicious. Another plus: their famous cheese program.
