Great place, great location, good food and wonderful bar. We are regulars and highly recommend the place although the prices are definitely on the high side. Enjoy!

Went to Avenue last night and had a delightful experience. The food was really good, service was so attentive but not too much in your face, and the atmosphere was lovely. This is a place where they pay attention to every detail. The restaurant was immaculate!!
Can't wait to go back:)

should have been called Pretentious Avenue, maybe Ego Avenue, Self-Aware Avenue, Overpriced Avenue...

re: Tapas52
Le Avenue was fantastic last night....we got there for the happy hour and all Martini's were $5.00 at the bar.....then we were seated for dinner by a nice window table overlooking the Ocean, the ambience & buzz in the room was just right....service was spectactular & very attentive thoughout the meal. We opened with the Plateaux de Fruits de Mer Le Grand which was a stunning three foot high 3 tier iced tower of fresh seafood including Jumbo shrimp, Octapus salad, Little Neck clams, east & West coat Oysters, Mussles, with 3 dipping sauces including Cocktail, Minyette, Spicy mayonaise.......our entre was the Boeuf Bourguignon (Fresh Parpadelle, Red Wine Sauce, Braised Beef & Vegetables, Lardons) this dish was delicious with a super sauce......for desert I had the Creme` Brulee` perfectly made crisp charred top with a double expresso to top it off. Le Avenue was a winner for us....I will be back again for sure. Try It sometime on a weeknight I hear weekends are super crowded.!

re: equal_Mark
joon - I was thinking the exact same thing. $100 is a little too rich for an appetizer platter unless it serves 8 to 10 people.
njchowgal - There is a pool upstairs at Avenue Nuit. http://www.leclubnuit.com/main.html
Mark - Although I like the music, you can turn it off by clicking on the equalizer graph thing.
Tapas - I can understand where you coming from. Although I somewhat enjoyed my one and only meal at Avenue and appreciated the decor of the restaurant, I have yet had a desire to return. As others have mentioned in prior threads on this topic, the service can be a bit snooty and the prices can be on the high side (as evidenced by the raw bar tower you enjoyed). I also have no interest in braving the summer crowds.

Tapas52, i usually go to avenue for the "martini"s- they change seasonally and can be really great. i haven't had the food there in at least a year but i remember it being just ok for the price. please let me know how your experience is; i might add it back to the list.
