Greek Food

Alyson777 May 7, 2009 06:56 AM

I am looking for really good Greek Food in Miami. I find that this is one cuisine Miami is really lacking. I will go anywhere from BOCA to SOUTH BEACH for a good recommendation.
I want the real dea!l
Greek fish , fresh Greek Salad, Lentil Soup, Spanikopita, Greek Style potatoes and yummy grilled vegetables. Anyone? Anyone? I would like to try and find Porgy which is a Greek White fish.

I second Anise Taverna - just took a group of 17 there on Monday, it had a bunch of customers, you can sit outside by the river or at the windows by the river, it's pretty, the staff are nice, and the food is really good!

They always have a choice of a couple whole grilled fish (which they keep on ice for you to choose from). Full menu is here though this is not entirely current->

Anise Taverna on 78th St. just off Biscayne Blvd.
Ariston on 71st St. in North Beach ( on Normandy Circle)
For simpler stuff, Maria's on Coral Way.
