Best Chile Relleno in Central LA?

Just read the thread about making Chile Rellenos and saw this delicious looking photo:

Has anyone had some outstanding restaurant Chile Rellenos near Central/East LA? As you can maybe tell from the photo, I prefer mine stuffed with cheese (other ingredients + cheese would be good too), light frothy egg batter, and a salsa roja. Dying to get my mitts on some ...

Maybe too far west for you, but I like the CRs at Tere's. (They make a killer CR burrito too.)

Whole heartedly agree. Tere's is fantastic.

I must be looking for a very different chile relleno burrito than other chowhounds. Tried the one at Tacos Por Favor and one from Tere's. Deeply dissapointed with both. The Por Favor burrito had corn in it and some hideous salsa and the Tere's one was filled with, I'm assuming, panela cheese, which doesn't melt. Plus, it had their guacamole in it, which is pretty bland. To me, both restaurants were not unlike chain Mexican places, like Baja Fresh or Poquito Mas.
