Kogi in OC this week, should I bother?

Tons of hype with long lines. Is it worth it? Should I just try it to say that I did or am I wasting my time?

I've heard both sides of the reviews as well. Quite frankly, I can wait until it's convenient for me to try them - if that ever happens. But I sure can't see me waiting 2 hours in the middle of the night for a taco unless Hugh Jackman is going to feed it to me while Brad Pitt rubs my feet.

Lots of debate on both sides of the fence on this topic, examples below:

IMHO, it's overhyped and not worth the wait (and I had it at a catered event--all you can eat, no lines and all the meats tasted the same nothing special. I wasn't hurrying to get more. Others thought pretty much the same, good but nothing special). But if you want to brave it, you can decide for yourself.

Agreed. If you are close and there's no line, try it out. I was a bit underwhelmed after all of the hype.
