City Tavern in KC

My friend wants to try this place but I've heard mixed reviews. Thoughts please?

    My last meal there was tasty.
    I did have to sit in the bar area, which
    I did not care for. The server was nice
    and attentive. With that said, I haven't
    been back since. It just never comes
    up in conversation.
