Gluten Free Ottawa

Hello there.

I'm in Ottawa for a few months and need some suggestions for gluten-free dining.

I'm living in Hintonburg - found a great little place that does vegetarian food by weight at the corner of Holland/Wellington.

During the day I'm downtown (Wellington/Kent) and I'm looking for someplace that does a quick/cheap gluten free lunch. Suggestions anyone?

    Hi!

This may be a little late, but the Wellington Gastropub is really excellent at accommodating a gluten-free diet. As for eating lunch downtown, you can try Vitaemine on the corner of O'Connor and Laurier. They have sandwiches with gluten-free buns, as well as cookies and sweet breads.

There is a thorough blog on eating GF in Ottawa at : glutenfreeghetto.ca

    Good luck!

La Dolce Vita on Preston has a full gluten free menu from pizzas to pastas.

Sorry I can't help you much either. The closest thing I know of is Sue's in Kingston. She makes excellent gluten free breads, pizzas, cookies, etc, and I think they are a pretty good price too. She may sell her products somewhere in Ottawa.
