Frankly, I'm having a difficult time envisioning how they're going to do a buffet there - it's very small. I would guess that they are asking for the credit card just for that reason - the capacity is less than 40 in tight quarters and for them to get "stiffed" on a reservation would be significant.
We like Nini's a lot. The normal prix fixe deal is certainly worth consideration and they change the menu ever 2 weeks (with a few specials added in the interim) and the best part is that it is BYOB, so you can enjoy a very nice dinner and not get gouged by wine prices. When we go, we generally select a bottle(s) from our collection that we would never order at a restaurant and pay only the small corkage fee that they charge (which is not really a corkage fee, but rather, to pay for the use/breakage of their wine glasses!).
I don't know if this answers your question, but I would recommend Nini's for dinner any time you're in the mood for something a bit different.
I love nini's too- and although we haven't been there in a while, I have never been disappointed, and think it is a great value for the quality.
my brother had thought to take my mom to bill miller's castle, but they were sold out. I was heartened, since BMC certainly would not be a place I would pick. I thought to suggest Nini's since the menu looked YUMMY; however his wife was quick on the draw, and booked us at Laurel view country club.
members of my family are not exaclty foodies, except my hub and me. oh well.
I digress though! I think the buffet may be at their new catering/banquet facility, which I believe is located nearby (at 86 crown).
I would love to know how the buffet and facility is....should I report back as well? (LOL!)
