Quick: Breakfast suggestion, Chestnut Hill

PattiCakes May 6, 2009 09:13 AM

Sorry for the short notice, but a co-worker is taking the day off tomorrow to wander Chestnut Hill with her hubby. They will be taking Regional Rail. Any suggestions for breakfast? Nothing fancy.

Thanks everyone! I passed your suggestions along. I am sure they will have a fine day (even with the rain)!

        Hello,

Sounds like a lovely way to spend a weekday!

Here are 2 suggestions, both within easy walking distance from Regional Rail:

Cake - located in the solarium of Robertson's florist shop. Baked goods and breakfast options featuring local ingredients. (SEPTA R7)

8501 Germantown Ave. (Highland Ave.) Philadelphia, PA 19118 (215-247-6887)

French Bakery - small, off the beaten path. It is not directly on Germantown avenue; follow a small walkway to a cluster of shops behind the main drag (SEPTA R8)

        8624 Germantown Ave.

Metropolitan Bakery has a few tables for coffee and their wonderful pastries.

Top of the Hill (right behind Wachovia) also does breakfast.
