One of my favorite places in Paris is an out of the way Lyonnaise Bistro called Chez Fred in the 17th. I lived in Lyon and this place is pretty authentic and has a real french ambience.
    Chez Fred
    190 Bis, Boulevard Pereire
    75017 Paris, France
    +33 1 45 74 20 48

I love the steak frites at Le Relais de l'Entrecote. I prefer the St. Germain location, but they are both the same. Expect to wait in line. You have one choice to make there, that is how you would like your steak cooked.

    20, Rue Saint-Benoît, Paris - +33 1 45 49 16 00
    15, Rue Marbeuf, Paris - +33 1 49 52 07 17
Also, my favorite sandwich shop is: Cosi at 54 Rue de Seine – try anything on their olive bread. I guess they have a shop in NY, but I ahve never been to that one.

You have to try and stop at either Pierre Herme or Laduree for macarons. Pierre Herme is a bit more exotic with japanese influences and Laduree is more classic. Here are the addresses:
Pierre Herme: 72 rue Bonaparte in St. Germain and there is also one at 185 rue Vaugirard

Laduree has a few locations too: 75 ave. de Champs Elysee
16 rue Royale in the 8th
21 rue Bonaparte in the 6th
If you go to Laduree make sure and also try an Isphahan, they are delicious!

Also if you search the boards here, you will find links to a document called Best Bistros in Paris under 30e. If you can't find it let me know and I will look on my back up drive. Good Luck!
