NYC Restaurant Tour

Anyone know of any restaurants in NYC that provide a tour of the kitchen and a meal?

  1. I believe you can tour Per Se's kitchen after a meal.

I've never done it myself, but friends of mine who were frequent diners at WD-50 toured the kitchen more than once--said WD couldn't have been nicer about it. I'd call ahead to check, though.

    2. I've wandered through the kitchens at both Per Se and WD-50 - very interesting setups and they're more than happy to do it if you express an interest.

I find this with most retaurants here, that if you ask the staff will be very happy to show you around. I was in New York about a month ago and Craft was very nice about this. I also went to The Harrison the day after and chef Freitag actually came out and talked to me and was a super nice person. So in general, most restaurants will be happy to do the same.

Had a very similar experience saturday night at Harrison. Chef Freitag is incredibly friendly and it was a pleasure to speak with her (oh, and her skate ain't half bad either!).
