Philly Cheese Steak Pairing

Anybody got a wine suggestion for Philly Cheese Steaks w/ Rosemary Steak Fries? Thinking about opening a 2005 Rosenblum Maggies Reserve or something spanish.

Your zinfandel selection will be just fine.

I think your instinct is pretty good on this. Something with overt fruit and a bit of spice. Something Spanish could also work. As could a not-too-over-the-top CA Cabernet.

Where is the steak from? What kind of cheese? Fried onions? Pickles, Sweets, Hots . . .

I tried this the other night, very nice vintage, may sound young for a Douro but would work well with a philly. DOURO - QUINTA DO CRASTO 06/07

Also LA MANCHA TEMPRANILLO - MAS QUE VINOS ERCAVIO 04/05 would work well with it also.

            Good QPR on these.

I know right? Kind of tough to pair. Know any good Jumilla stuff? I drank the Juan Gil Old Vine Monastrell recently but havent had much else.
