Micheladas in Manhattan?

psylocke62 May 5, 2009 05:36 AM

I was wondering if anyone has any recommendations for a great Michelada in Manhattan. Looking for something in the Hell's Kitchen area, but wouldn't object to traveling...

Toloache will have them on the menu, but the ingredients in a Michelada are so common you should be able to get them at any bar. If the bartender doesn't know how to make them, it's a simple recipe to teach with the bonus that you get your drink and the bartender has a new beverage for his menu.

I'd try Toloache, Suenos, Mayahuel. You can also use menupages.com's find a food search, it brings up about two dozen results.

I've had good ones at the Redhead and at Barrio Chino. Neither is in Hell's Kitchen, but both IMHO are worth the trip downtown.
